Terms of Use

Who can use the platform

• Anyone can use the platform — learners aged 12 and up are welcome
• Users under 13 must provide a parent's email during registration (required under COPPA). We send a consent notice to the parent.
• Teachers can create accounts to use the platform with their students
• Everyone must have their own account — don't share login details

Your account

• You need a valid email to register
• Keep your password safe and don't share it with anyone
• You're responsible for everything that happens on your account
• We may suspend accounts that violate these rules

Teacher accounts

• Class codes link students to their classes — they're created in coordination with the platform team
• The platform doesn't let teachers track student activity — we save where each reader is in the book so they can continue from the same spot on any device, but this information is private to them alone and no one else can see it. We don't collect quiz results, and there's no progress dashboard for teachers
• Teachers are responsible for informing parents that the platform is being used
• Teacher accounts require email confirmation

What you can't do

• Copy, download, or distribute our books, illustrations, or content
• Share your account details with others
• Use the platform to bully, harm, or harass
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the platform
• Use the platform to produce harmful or inappropriate content

Changes to these terms

• We may update these terms from time to time
• We'll notify registered users of important changes by email
• Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms
